A thousand days after the tragedy that claimed the lives of 176 people, Tehran has not fulfilled its international legal obligations.
Tuesday, October 4, marks 1,000 days since Iran shot down Ukraine International Airlines flight PS752. Representatives of Ukraine, Canada, Sweden and the United Kingdom made a joint statement, the text of which was published by the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

“We, the ministers representing Canada, Sweden, Ukraine and the United Kingdom, stand with the families mourning this tragic event and honor the memory of the victims who died on flight PS752. We once again request that Iran have complied with its international legal obligations and ensured transparency and fairness in relation to their actions,” the document said.
The politicians expressed their gratitude to the four eminent legal experts for their contribution to this cause.
“They have shared their great experience with our legal teams, who are continuing their diligent work in response to Iran’s illegal and drastic downing of flight PS752. We continue to stand in solidarity with the families and loved ones of those victim of the crash of flight PS752. ,” the ministers added.
Remember, on January 8, 2020, the UIA plane was shot down by the Iranian military while flying from Tehran. The liner was hit by two missiles. The victims of the disaster were 167 passengers and 9 crew members, including citizens of Ukraine.
In July of this year, the UIA filed a lawsuit against Iran.
