According to the Japanese Coast Guard, a North Korean missile flew over the airspace of the northern prefectures of Aomori and Hokkaido and fell into the Pacific Ocean.
Authorities urge ships located in the area where the projectile fell, if debris is found, not to approach them, but to immediately notify the Coast Guard.
As indicated, in connection with the incident, the Japanese government is convening a national security council.
Recall that last week Pyongyang tested missiles three times, launching them towards the Sea of Japan.
