The Cabinet of Ministers approved the renaming of the South Ukrainian Nuclear Power Plant to Pivdennoukrainska NPP (PAPP). This was reported by the press service of NNEGC Energoatom.
“In accordance with the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 1061 of September 27, 2022 “On Amendments to Certain Resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on the activities of the state company National Nuclear Power Generation Company Energoatom, the government has finally approved the renaming of the South Ukrainian nuclear power plant to Pivdennoukrainska”, the report said. .
Energoatom approved the change in the name of the nuclear power plant by its decree in April of this year.
Pivdennoukrainian NPP is located in the Mykolaiv region, has three operating power units and is part of the Pivdennoukrainian energy complex.
It will be remembered that on the night of Monday, September 19, Russian troops launched missile attacks on the Pivdennoukrainsk nuclear power plant.
It should be noted that a Russian cruise missile flew over the South Ukrainian nuclear power plant at a critically low altitude.
