Izyum authorities are urging residents to evacuate for the winter

Authorities are calling on residents of Izyum, Kharkiv region, to evacuate the city for the winter. This was announced by the representative of the Izyum City Council Maxim Strelnik.

“On the eve of the cold season, a significant part of the inhabitants of the community of Izyum lost their homes. Most of the houses were destroyed that they could not be ready for the heating season. , he said.

According to the deputy, the evacuation is a temporary measure, it should be used to restore the city’s critical infrastructure.

Recall that Izyum was released from the occupiers on September 10 in a large-scale counter-offensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In the city, almost 90% of the infrastructure was destroyed during the war with the Russian invaders.

According to the Deputy Mayor of Izyum Vladimir Matsokin, the electricity supply will continue in the city for about a week. Then the water will appear in the raisins.
