Poll results show that the biggest disappointment for Ukrainians is Russia’s impunity for its crimes.
The results of the opinion poll showed that the biggest disappointment of the Ukrainians of the war ambassador is the “impunity of Russia for the crimes committed.” This was the answer of 65.8% of respondents in a study conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology commissioned by the Center for Socio-Economic Research CASE Ukraine.
In second place is the answer option “High level of corruption” (36.3%), in third place – “Low standard of living, poverty” (34.6%).
The answer “Departure of millions of Ukrainians abroad” is in fourth place (24.7%), and “Immigration of Russians and Belarusians to Ukraine” is in fifth (19%).
Note that the issue of frustration with Russian impunity for war crimes manifests itself differently across age groups and regions. Residents of western and central Ukraine chose this answer more often than residents of southern and eastern Ukraine: 68.6% and 67.7% compared to 63.5% and 59.1%. Young people aged 18-29 chose this answer more often (78.3%) than people aged 70 and over (55.5%).
“At the same time, residents of southern and eastern Ukraine more often noticed possible frustration with low living standards and poverty (42.3% and 43.3%) than residents of western Ukraine (27.4%). In central Ukraine, the This answer was chosen by 31 , 4% of respondents,” the results show.
The survey was conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology from June 22 to July 19, 2022, commissioned by CASE Ukraine. Based on a random sample of mobile phone numbers, 2,000 respondents aged 18 years and older living in all regions of Ukraine (except the Autonomous Republic of Crimea) were surveyed.
