US lawmakers included funding to support Ukraine in the interim budget bill.
The US Senate approved a bill that provides aid to Ukraine in the amount of 12.4 billion dollars, writes The Hill.
The document was approved by 72 senators out of the 60 needed, 23 voted against.
Now the bill must be voted on in the House of Representatives, after which it will go to the signature of President Joe Biden.
The assistance package includes:

$3 billion for weapons;

$1.5 billion to replenish US weapons stockpiles transferred to Ukraine;

$540 million to increase ammunition production;

$2.8 billion to support intelligence, special payments for US troops stationed in Europe;
-
$4.5 billion in economic aid for Ukraine.
The bill also allows Biden to send up to $3.7 billion in additional military aid to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to media reports, the United States intends to provide Ukraine with $1.1 billion in military aid.
