The country’s President noted that the Russians were forced to leave because of the current “hopeless situation.”
Kazakhstan will “ensure the safety” of Russians who arrived after the announcement of mobilization in the Russian Federation. This was said by the President of the country Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at a public meeting of the Turkestan region, reports on Tuesday, September 27, Informburo.
Tokayev emphasized that Kazakhstan must maintain “good relations with its neighbors.”
“Good relations with neighbors is a guarantee of peace. The most important thing is that we maintain the agreement with the neighboring countries. We have nothing to lose here. In recent days, many people from Russia have come to us. Most of them are forced to leave due to the current hopeless situation” said Tokaev.
He noted that Kazakhstan should “show concern and ensure the safety” of the Russians who arrived, as this is a “political and humanitarian issue”, and therefore ordered the government to take the necessary measures.
Remember that in less than a week almost 100,000 Russians entered Kazakhstan. At the same time, the country’s Ministry of Internal Affairs said they will extradite those wanted in Russia for preventing the mobilization of citizens if they are placed on the wanted list.
Earlier, Kazakhstan decided not to issue residence permits to Russians fleeing the mobilization.
