The US Congress reached a preliminary agreement on the allocation of additional aid to Ukraine.
The United States has tentatively agreed to a new $12 billion financial aid package for Ukraine. This was reported by Reuters.
It is known that the congressmen have come to the corresponding agreement in discussing the new bill on the temporary spending of the United States.
The US will also provide funding for the resettlement of Afghan refugees through this legislation, the source said.
Earlier, US President Joe Biden asked Congress to grant Ukraine new emergency military and economic assistance in the amount of $11.7 billion.
Recall that in early September, Biden approved a tranche of aid to Ukraine in the amount of $675 million.
The new military aid package includes thousands of ammunition, hundreds of armored vehicles and other weapons.
