Two British soldiers, Sean Pinner and Aiden Aslin, who were captured by Russia, appeared on Russian television with a request that they be exchanged for the leader of the Opposition Platform for Life, Viktor Medvedchuk. Sky News reported this.
The recording was made in each of them separately and shown on the Russian channel 24.
In a statement released by the Foreign Office, Pinner’s family urged his captives to treat him as a prisoner of war in accordance with international rules.
Earlier it was reported that Viktor Medvedchuk, detained by the Security Service, turned to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin with a proposal to exchange him for Mariupol’s defenders and residents.
Recall that the SBU detained Medvedchuk on April 12. The detainee was selected by a measure of detention in the form of detention without bail.
