In the Kharkiv region, a collaborator from Izyum was detained, who during the occupation led the pseudo-police. This was announced on Saturday, September 24, by the prosecutor’s office of the Kharkiv region.
According to the investigation, the 43-year-old former policeman voluntarily went to the side of the invaders. He took the position of “district police inspector”, and later received a “promotion” and headed an illegal body.
In July, the traitor, together with Russian soldiers and “LPR” militants, took away the work books from his former colleagues.
After the liberation of the city, the collaborator tried to escape, but on September 23 he was detained. A criminal case was opened against the man on the fact of high treason committed under martial law (part 2 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The issue of choosing a preventive measure for the suspect in the form of detention is decided.
It should be noted that since February 24, 2022, SBU investigators have opened more than 1,600 criminal proceedings under the article Cooperation activities.
