Law enforcement officials have identified more than a thousand Russians involved in war crimes in the region.

Law enforcement officers discovered 18 places in the Kharkiv region, where the occupiers tortured Ukrainian citizens. The identity of more than a thousand Russian soldiers who committed crimes in the occupied territories was also established. This was announced by the First Deputy Head of the Main Investigation Department of the National Police, Sergei Panteleev, in a briefing at the Military Media Center on Friday, September 23.

“More than 1,500 inspections of places where war crimes were committed in the Kharkiv region were carried out. In the course of exercising the liberated settlements, the police found 18 places where Russians were illegally who detained and tortured our citizens,” he said.

The National Police has also created a register of Russian servicemen and illegal armed groups of occupiers in the occupied region, Panteleyev added.

He also assured that all war criminals will be identified and their guilt will be proven.

In addition, law enforcement officials also produced information about more than two thousand people for cooperation activities.

It should be noted that since February 24, 2022, SBU investigators have opened more than 1,600 criminal proceedings under the article Cooperation activities.

At the same time, Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar said that the Main Intelligence Directorate has information about all the traitors who helped the enemy troops.
