The dynamics of progress in the negotiation process leaves much to be desired, the Kremlin spokesman said.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday, April 18, that the Ukrainian side frequently changes positions on agreed issues.

The “special military operation” continues. The President recently said it was happening according to plan. At the same time, expert -level contacts continue within the framework of the negotiation process. I would also like to remind you of the words of the president that, unfortunately, the Ukrainian side does not show much consistency. At agreed points, the position changes frequently. The dynamics of progress in the negotiation process leaves a lot to be desired, ”he said.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the destruction of Mariupol’s defenders could lead to a halt to negotiations with Russia.

Zelensky also admitted that the result of the peace talks between Kiev and Moscow could be two agreements: on security guarantees for Ukraine and an agreement directly between Ukraine and the Russian Federation.
