The Kazakh government has decided not to grant asylum to citizens of the Russian Federation who are trying to hide from being drafted into the army.
Kazakhstan will not issue permanent residence permits to Russian citizens without the consent of the Russian authorities. The reason for this is that many Russians are trying to leave the country after the announcement of a partial military mobilization. This was announced by Maulen Ashimbaev, Speaker of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, Radio Liberty Europe reports on Thursday, September 22.
“Our official institutions will not issue residence permits to people who do not provide documents proving that their country of citizenship does not object to their moving to Kazakhstan,” he explained.
According to a Kazakh official, his country’s law enforcement and migration authorities are working in accordance with the law.
State bodies are aware of the situation regarding a sharp increase in the number of Russian citizens entering the country, and are discussing this issue, Ashimbaev said.
Recall that Finland is preparing to introduce a complete ban on entry into the country for Russian citizens.
As you know, after Putin announced a partial mobilization of the country, Russians began to leave en masse for Finland and Georgia.
