The deputy head of the Kharkiv Regional Council, Bogdan Malevany, was suspended from work. The SBU and the SBI reported that the officer had a Russian passport. The press service of the regional council reported this on Tuesday, September 20.
The head of the regional council Tatyana Yegorova-Lutsenko also commented on this situation in response to a request from Ukrinform.
“Today, we received a statement from Bohdan Malevany about his dismissal. Based on letters from the SBU and TU of the SBI, the conclusion of the standing commission, taking into account the statement of Bohdan Malevany, today I issued of the order to remove B.Yu. Malevany from work. We await the results of the work of SBI and SBU on this issue,” he said.
The official noted that the draft decision on the dismissal of B.Yu.
The press service of the regional council added: during the plenary session, Malevany confirmed that he had indeed written a letter of resignation.
Recall that the draft law on criminal liability for obtaining a Russian passport was agreed upon at a government meeting. Ukrainian civil servants face up to 15 years in prison.
In addition, Irina Vereshchuk said that for participating in fake “referendums” that the Russian Federation intends to hold in the temporarily occupied territories, citizens of Ukraine face criminal prosecution.
