KRAKEN special forces demolished the monument to Soviet Marshal Georgy Zhukov. They also released a related video.
In Kharkov, a special unit of the KRAKEN (special unit of the Azov Special Forces Regiment) demolished a monument to Soviet Marshal Georgy Zhukov, one of the leaders of the special unit Konstantin Nemichev told his Telegram.
“The KRAKEN special unit called the monument to Putin’s idol Marshal-butcher Zhukov,” Nemichev wrote.
He also published video footage showing how Zhukov’s bust fell from the pedestal, then a camouflaged man dropped the inscription from the pedestal, after which Zhukov’s bust was loaded into a dump truck and taken to a landfill.
“Zhukov is a monster responsible for the deaths of 400 thousand Ukrainians, repression, theft, mass murder. All these crimes are more relevant now for the Russian army than ever before. Putin wants real decommunication – obtained he did it! Soon, like his idol, was in the trash of history, “Nemichev wrote.
The demolition of the monument has not yet been commented on the Kharkiv City Council.
It will be recalled that on June 2, 2019, a group of activists dismantled Zhukov’s bust in Kharkiv. It was later reported that two criminal cases had been initiated for the demolition of the Zhukov monument.
A month later, Georgy Zhukov’s bust was restored on behalf of Mayor Gennady Kernes. In this regard, the Institute of National Memory appealed to the GPU.
