Cardinal Deacon Konrad Kraevsky brought humanitarian aid to Ukraine from the Pope. Fortunately, everyone got off safely.

Polish-born Cardinal Deacon Konrad Krajewski was attacked near Zaporozhye while delivering humanitarian aid on behalf of Pope Francis. This was reported by First Zaporozhye.

The report says that on September 17, Cardinal Kraevsky was in Zaporozhye, accompanied by a Catholic and Protestant bishops, as well as a Ukrainian military man. When he finished unloading supplies for the locals, everyone was fired upon with light weapons.

“For the first time in my life, I don’t know where to run. Because just running is not enough – you have to know where to run,” the cardinal admitted.

Recall that in the Kharkiv region, a group of doctors evacuating patients from a mental hospital came under enemy fire. Four doctors died.
