“The heating season will begin in Ukraine soon. The most difficult in history. Preparations for it continued in the summer, and continue today. The state of readiness is more than 80%. The “significant coal resources have been accumulated, gas is being produced. unloaded at storage facilities,” he said.
The Prime Minister said that negotiations are underway on additional gas supplies.
UAH 1.4 billion was allocated for preparation for emergency situations, almost 1.5 thousand mobile generators and dozens of backup boilers were purchased.
“An operational headquarters has been formed that will quickly solve any crisis issues. First of all, the issue of eliminating the consequences of Russian attacks on our critical infrastructure. We are preparing and preparing for all situations. And we will do our best to ensure that this winter Ukrainians are warm, light and water,” said Shmyhal.
Earlier, the prime minister admitted that the plan to pump 19 billion cubic meters of gas will not be fulfilled and a maximum of 15 billion cubic meters will be pumped at the beginning of the heating season.
