They will try to clear the housing stock in the liberated territories of the region before the onset of severe cold weather, the head of the National Police said.
Reducing the housing stock of the territory of the Kharkiv region freed from the invaders will take a month or two, for agricultural areas it will take more time. This was announced at a briefing by the head of the National Police, Igor Klymenko.
According to Klymenko, they will try to clear the housing stock in the liberated territories of the Kharkiv region before the onset of severe cold weather.
Klymenko noted that law enforcement officials are trying to clear the mines as soon as possible, but taking into account the level of danger.
“Pyrotechnicians have cleared 250 hectares in the Kharkiv region over the past six days … We are moving carefully. Representatives of the State Emergency Service are involved in demining, and we will try to clear the main arteries in the joint effort,” said the head of the National Police.
Agricultural land, according to Klimenko, before the beginning of winter is unlikely to have time to completely clear the mines.
“I think the snow will fall soon, and we won’t have time to clear these fields. This story will continue until spring,” said the police chief.
And the complete demining, as the head of the National Police said, “is a story for many years.”
Earlier, the leader of Ukrzaliznytsia showed the destroyed railway in the Kharkiv region, but assured that everything will be rebuilt.
