Germans less active in helping refugees from Ukraine – poll

In March, one in four Germans (27%) were willing to temporarily accept refugees at home, today this proportion has fallen to 17%.

In Germany, willingness to support refugees from Ukraine has decreased. This is confirmed by data from two DPA surveys, the results of which were cited by BILD.

It was noted that in early March, every fourth German (27%) was ready to temporarily accept Ukrainian refugees at home, now this proportion has fallen to 17%.

In the summer, almost every second resident of Germany (47%) can imagine working as a volunteer for refugees from Ukraine. In March, there were 58% of them.

According to the results of the survey, the willingness to give money for Ukrainian refugees has also decreased. In March, 69% of respondents were still willing to do this, in the summer this readiness was 58%.

Remember that more than 900 thousand Ukrainian refugees are registered in Germany.

It has also been reported that Germany is introducing new rules for refugees from Ukraine.
