Scholz intends to allocate 2 billion euros for military assistance to Ukraine – media

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz plans to spend an additional two billion euros for military assistance for Ukraine. This was reported by Reuters, citing a source in the German government.

It is assumed that 400 million euros will go to the European Peace Fund, which buys arms for Ukraine. The remaining funds will be directed to bilateral military contracts in Kiev.

It was previously reported that the German authorities had not yet been able to provide Ukraine with all kinds of weapons that the Bundeswehr had.

Recall that the supply of heavy equipment in Ukraine was agreed with Germany.
