For its part, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry called the border military conflict a major provocation of the Armenian armed forces.
“Some positions, shelters and fortresses of the Azerbaijan Army in the territory of Dashkesan, Kalbajar and Lachin regions came under heavy fire by units of the Armed Forces of Armenia,” Azerbaijan said.
The department noted that the measures are local in nature and directed against military facilities that fire.
