The use of e-queue will be completely free for carriers, according to the Ministry of Infrastructure.
In October, an electronic queue will start working at Ukrainian border checkpoints, in the first stage – as a pilot project at one of the checkpoints. This was announced by Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Infrastructure, Mustafa Nayem.
In test mode, a web-portal will work with the ability to register in a queue from any exit point. A mobile application will be presented by the end of the year.
The system provides for integration with customs databases for the initial prioritization of goods and is able to manage the flow of goods depending on the group of goods according to the data of the preliminary customs declaration.
The use of e-queuing will be completely free for carriers.
“We know that the electronic queue itself does not solve the issue of cargo downtime. It depends only on the throughput of border checkpoints. Meanwhile, winter is ahead. Waiting in line on highways in frost , firstly, is uncomfortable, and secondly, with additional costs for drivers. E-queue will save time and wait for crossing the border at any convenient location,” said Nayem.
It was previously reported that checkpoints Vilok and Dyakovo continued their work.
