According to eyewitnesses, Russian soldiers from the occupied city were “blown away like the wind.” They jumped into the tanks in a hurry, not having time to pack their things.
The invaders fled from Balakleya, Kharkov region, in haste and panic. The Russians climbed into the tanks of 50 people. This was told by a local resident Anna Gorbel on the Espresso TV channel.
“First, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated the southwestern region of Balakleya – Camp, and the invaders fled from there like a gray cloud. A tank drove up and 50 soldiers climbed into that tank, an ambulance came, and the Russian soldiers got into the car. They just ran away, the wind blew them away. They didn’t have time to pack up and get people’s cars,” Gorbel recalled.
The woman also said that during the occupation of Balakleya, the Russian invaders took the civilians captive.
“They interrogated people and forced them to cooperate with them. A teacher with his wife and daughter were caught and recruited to cooperate with them. People were searched at checkpoints and punished for having patriotic tattoos . A young doctor was killed when he returned from work,” he said. Gorbel.
It will be recalled that taking Balakliya under control was officially announced on September 8.
