Officials set up a scheme to extort funds from representatives of charitable organizations for entering data about drivers into the Way database.
Law enforcement officials detained the head of one of the district military administrations of the Kyiv region and his adviser, who took bribes for entering data into the Daan system, allowing men to travel to abroad. This was announced on Saturday, September 10, by the press service of the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office on Telegram.
According to the investigation, the head of the district military administration of the Kiev region, together with his adviser, set up a scheme of extortion from representatives of charitable organizations. Officials charge money for entering drivers into the Way electronic system, which allows drivers to travel abroad.
The suspects were detained after receiving a bribe in the amount of 350,000 hryvnias. Currently, defendants are informed of the suspicion of receiving illegal benefits (part 3 of article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The issue of choosing measures for them is being decided.
Remember that the inspector of the state customs post Koson of the Transcarpathian customs of the State Customs Service of Ukraine will be tried for taking a bribe.
Also in the Kyiv region, law enforcement officials detained the director of the KP Funeral Service of one of the villages. He demanded a bribe for allocating burial places in the cemetery.
