Scholz’s current behavior threatens the “unity of the entire community of states in relation to Russia,” according to the FRG.
The leader of Germany’s largest opposition party, the CDU, Friedrich Merz has criticized German Chancellor Olaf Scholz for delaying the provision of heavy weapons to Ukraine. The said statement on Friday, April 15, was made by Merz in an interview with the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
According to Merz, Scholz puts at risk the unity of the international community of states towards Russia.
The Christian Democrat leader said he “completely” agrees with Foreign Minister Annalena Burbock’s position that “there are no more reasons” for such delays.
Merz added that the territorial integrity of all of Ukraine must be restored, because “if Putin is not stopped and expelled from Ukraine, he will continue.”
It was previously reported that the German authorities had not yet been able to provide Ukraine with all kinds of weapons that the Bundeswehr had.
Recall that the supply of heavy equipment in Ukraine was agreed with Germany.
