In the occupied territories of Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, the Russian military continues to intimidate civilians.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukraine had lost forever to Russia. On Friday, April 15, the Ukrainian leader said in his video message.
“Russia’s problem is that it has gone unnoticed – and will never be noticed – by the entire Ukrainian people. Russia has lost Ukraine forever. What can I say – it has lost the whole world. It is no longer seen anywhere,” the president said.
He stressed that in the occupied areas of Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, the Russian military continues to intimidate civilians.
In particular, the occupiers were looking for everyone linked to the Ukrainian army or government agencies, believing that this would make it easier for them to control the territory.
The President stressed that the occupiers were “mistaken and deceiving themselves.”
“And the brutality with which Russian troops are trying to occupy the Azov region, Donbass, Kharkiv region, only ends even the slightest chance of these territories and these people ever in the future to have any connection in that state.
Perhaps, somewhere in Russia, cruelty is respected. But in Ukraine, cruelty is despised. And they were punished. And it is necessary, “Zelensky concluded.
Also, speaking about the time of the end of the war, the president noted that the war will end faster when Kyiv receives stronger support from partner countries, especially when it comes to sanctions and weapons.
“We need to include the effectiveness of the instruments of influence in Russia. Those used by Ukraine and our entire anti-war coalition. The success of our military on the battlefield is really significant historically, but still not enough to eliminate our land to the occupiers.. We can defeat them better, ” – said the head of state.
Zelensky also noted that the sanctions against Russia are very serious, but it is not enough to leave Russia’s military machine without sustenance.
“It is in these two directions that it determines how long the war will continue,” the president stressed.
He added that the main task now is to establish peace as soon as possible. At the same time, the APU is doing their job well. They stopped the attacks of Russian troops and carried out counter-offensives.
“Diplomats must continue their activity on all possible lines, at all possible levels, both official and unofficial,” Zelensky added.
Zelensky believes Russia could use nuclear weapons against Ukraine.
