Yesterday, September 8, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken visited Irpin, Kyiv region. This was announced by the mayor of Irpin Alexander Markushin.
“He was amazed by what he saw and he noticed that not a single photo accurately conveys the horror that our city really experienced,” the mayor of the city said.
The guest was familiar with the presentation of all the damaged objects of the city, told about the established Irpin Restoration Fund, cooperation with international partners and sister cities, including the American Milwaukee and Miami.
“Mr. Blinken highly appreciates this work of our management team towards the restoration of Irpen and promised that America will continue to help the Ukrainian people. I thank Anthony Blinken and all US citizens for their clear and consistent -same position in supporting Ukraine in the war for its independence and territorial integrity” – added Alexander Markushin.
Recall that the Secretary of State of the United States came to the capital of Ukraine on an unannounced visit.
