Finance Minister Sergei Marchenko said that the draft state budget for 2023 will provide another 10% reduction in the costs of all government bodies. He said this on the air of the telethon.
“From the beginning of martial law, we reduced budget expenditures in several stages. First, we accumulated all expenditures in the reserve fund at the beginning of the war in the amount of about UAH 180 billion. Then we further reduced expenditures of all government bodies, without exception, by 10%. And next year, expect a further reduction of 10%, the payroll fund, first of all, current expenses,” he said.
According to Marchenko, capital expenditures will be provided only for the security and defense sector and for the restoration of conflict-affected territories.
Earlier it was reported that the draft state budget for 2023 will provide more than one trillion hryvnias for the security and defense sector, as well as the indexation of pensions.
Remember that the Ministry of Finance has warned that the budget for 2023 will be very tight.
