Cold air from the north of Europe affects the weather in Ukraine, it is because of this that it has become colder in the first days of autumn.
Ukrainians in recent years have become accustomed to warm weather until mid-September. However, this year, from the first days of autumn, it became colder. This was announced by the Deputy Head of the Department of Meteorological Forecasts of the Ukrhydrometcentre Natalya Golenya in a comment to RBC-Ukraine on Thursday, September 8.
“In the last 10-15 years, there is a” tradition “when the summer season continues until September 15-20, and at the beginning of the month there is a relatively summer temperature of 25-30, and sometimes 35 degrees. But this year September decided to meet us during the fall “, – he said.
He explained that the current synoptic situation was formed as follows due to the fact that the cold air comes from the northwest, from the north of Europe.
“And in addition, due to the fact that we have a high pressure field, cooling occurs at night and we have frosts on the ground and in some places in the air,” added Golenya.
Remember that people’s weather forecaster Volodymyr Derkach said that September will be warm, the Indian summer is expected in October, and the first frosts and snow will come in November.
It should be noted that three temperature records were registered in Kyiv in August.
