Both intruders were taken prisoner in clashes in the eastern direction.
Two militants of the terrorist organization “LPR”, who, as part of work groups, attacked Ukrainian cities in the Luhansk region, received 15 and 10 years in prison. This was reported by the press service of the SBU.
It was noted that one of the traitors was a local resident who, at the beginning of a full-scale invasion, voluntarily came to the point of collection of “mobilized” in the temporarily occupied territory of the region. There he was appointed as a machine gunner of the so-called “6th Cossack Regiment of the People’s Militia of the LNR”.
In May 2022, he was taken near the village of Katerynivka, Popasnyansky district.
During the investigation, the attacker tried to impersonate a forcibly mobilized Russian citizen. However, SBU officers have collected unconditional evidence of his guilt under three articles of the Criminal Code, the report said.
Another traitor is a resident of the Luhansk region who was previously convicted of drug crimes. In 2021, he joined the so-called “People’s Militia of the LPR”.
He was appointed as a machine gunner in the “2nd Army Corps” of the working group of the Russian Federation. There he fought with Ukrainian troops in the areas of Kremennaya, Rubizhne, Severodonetsk and Lysichansk. He then participated in robbing the captured businesses and homes of local residents.
Being close to Severodonetsk, the attacker was wounded during the shelling of high-rise buildings by Russian tanks and for some time was in the “rear”. After this, he returned to the front again. However, in August, the traitor was captured along with seven other members of the enemy group during the battle in the direction of Bakhmut. The court found him guilty under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the SBU said.
It should be reminded that the Chernivtsi court issued prison sentences to two more traitors in Ukraine, who passed information to the Russian authorities about the whereabouts of the corps of the Azov volunteer battalion. The defendants received 16 and 10 years in prison.
It was also reported that the spotter of the missile attack on the Kramatorsk airfield received 9 years in prison.
