Ukrainian fighters are continuing their offensive in the south, where they are destroying enemy infrastructure, the British Ministry of Defense notes.
The Ukrainian military in the Kherson region continues to conduct offensive operations. In particular, they destroyed a military pontoon bridge at Daryevka, which the Russians deployed after a nearby road bridge was badly damaged. About that reported UK Ministry of Defense on Twitter on Thursday 8 September.
The agency, citing British intelligence, said the Darvka crossing is one of the main routes between the northern and southern sectors of Russia’s military presence west of the Dnieper River.
“Ukraine’s systematic targeted strikes against vulnerable crossings continue to put pressure on Russian forces trying to stop Ukrainian attacks, slowing their ability to deploy operational reserves and re-equip from the east,” the British ministry concluded.
Recall that earlier British intelligence reported that Russia, due to heavy losses in Ukraine, in particular, in the Kherson region, was saving its UAVs.
In addition, Russian forces in the war against Ukraine continue to suffer from morale and discipline problems. In addition to battle fatigue and heavy casualties, pay problems were causing discontent in the military.
