The imprisoned man has been in the police’s field of vision for more than 20 years. Since childhood, he has had problems with alcohol and drugs. At 14, he started taking cocaine.

After reaching the age of majority, he committed 59 offenses, including theft and violent acts. According to investigators, he and his brother committed crimes in 13 different places, including the James Smith Cree First Nation and the village of Weldon.

The body of the suspect’s brother was found on September 5, showing signs of wounds that police believe could not have been self-inflicted.

It can be recalled that on September 4, 10 local residents were killed and 18 were stabbed. It was reported to be the bloodiest killing in the country’s history.
