The Ukrainians’ destruction of ammunition depots and logistics of the Russian Federation, mainly the railways, significantly shook the invaders.
According to the former head of the French military mission to the UN, General Dominique Trincan, the Ukrainians, who are now conducting a counteroffensive in the south of the country, may capture the entire right bank of the Dnieper, including the city of Kherson, by October. This was reported by France 24.
Trincan said a counteroffensive was underway along most of the southern front line. The Ukrainians methodically prepared this offensive and concentrated the way to victory. They began by destroying the Russian logistics system, hitting warehouses, communication centers, command posts, and also bridges across the Dnieper with long-range artillery. This is called “shaping the battlefield”.
“Now the Russian troops are experiencing great difficulty in supply,” he said.
The general believed that the Russians seemed surprised by the methods used. The destruction of ammunition depots and logistics points, mainly the railway, significantly shook them. Now, if the troops located west of the Dnieper do not receive shells, they will not be able to defend themselves.
“If they can’t get supplies, it will be critical for some units,” he said.
The general also discovered that many Russian soldiers preferred to flee without a fight.
“The Russians have huge personnel problems now. They are trying to recruit all their forces, but President Putin, who does not want to declare war, cannot mobilize them. He wants to continue to create the impression that all is fine. I think that before winter the Ukrainians can capture the entire right bank of the Dnieper, including Kherson,” said Trincan.
We remind you that earlier the Office of the President confirmed the liberation of the village of Vysokopolye in the Kherson region from the Russian invaders.
