The current President of France Emmanuel Macron is ahead of his rival, the leader of the far -right National Association Marine Le Pen before the second round of the presidential election. On Friday, April 15, BFMTV reported in relation to the results of a BVA survey for RTL and Orange TV channels.
According to the poll, Macron leads with a score of 54% to 46%. At the same time, he was able to increase his support compared to the poll of both sociologists before the first round of elections.
Also, nine days before the second round, a turnout of 73%is expected, which is very close to the level of the first round (73.7%).
Macron has a strong lead among voters aged 70 and over (70% compared to 30% for Marine Le Pen). But in the age category from 35 to 49 years old, it lags behind Le Pen within statistical error – 49% versus 51%.
The survey was conducted on April 13-14 on 1502 respondents. The error varies from 1.4% to 3.1%.
It will be recalled that on April 10, the first round of presidential elections was held in France. According to its results, Macron took first place with a score of 27.6%, Marine Le Pen – 23.41%.
