Chinese President Xi Jinping will make his first international visit since the start of the coronavirus pandemic. On September 14, he will visit Kazakhstan. This was announced by the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Aibek Smadiarov, reports KTK.
He mentioned that Xi Jinping will come to Kazakhstan at the invitation of President Kasim-Jomart Tokayev. They will hold bilateral talks and sign documents regarding cooperation in various fields.
It was reported that the visit “aims to further deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership and the development of political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the countries.”
The Chinese leader’s visit was announced in June after Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi visited Kazakhstan.
Earlier it was reported that Kazakhstan withdrew from the CIS agreement with the Interstate Monetary Committee.
