The Russian invaders killed the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station. As a result, the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions were partially left without electricity. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Monday, September 5.
“The enemy continues to carry out illegal actions in the Kherson region. Thus, the Russian invaders turned off the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, which led to the blackout of parts of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions,” the report said.
In turn, the Telegram channel Berdyansk Now reports that the electricity supply has not been resumed in the temporarily occupied Berdyansk since yesterday. At the same time, light appeared in Kherson and Melitopol.
“Even yesterday, the electricity supply was resumed in Kherson and Melitopol, the people of Berdyansk did not wait for the light. And at the same time, water,” said the message.
Earlier today, Energoatom reported that the Zaporozhye NPP was once again completely disconnected from the Ukrainian power grid. The only operating power unit, which ensures the operation of the nuclear power plant itself, stopped at the station.
Later, the Ministry of Energy explained why it was not yet possible to fix the networks at ZNPP.
