Ukrainian soldiers successfully repelled the enemy’s offensive in the direction of Bakhmut and Avdeevsk in the Donetsk region. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in its report this morning on September 5.
Volyn and Polesye direction
The situation remains unchanged. The threat of missile and air strikes from the airspace and territory of Belarus remains.
Seversk direction
The civilian and military infrastructure of more than 10 communities were bombarded by enemy fire. Above all, Gasichevka, Yanzhulovka, Nikolaevka, Mikhalchyna Sloboda of Chernihiv region and Novovasilievka, Novaya Guta, Seredina-Buda, Bachevsk, Yastrebino and Smolino of Sumy region were exposed to fire.
Kharkiv direction
The enemy inflicted defeats in the areas of the settlements of Dementeevka, Novoe, Odnorobovka, Borshchova, Sosnovka, Udy, Ruskie Tishki, Pitomnik, Ruska Lozovaya, Slobozhanskoye, Momotov, Petrovka, Bayrak, Gusarovka, Chepel and Mospanovo. Engaged UAV to direct artillery fire.
Slavic direction
The settlements of Krasnopolye, Dibrovnoye, Vernopolye and Bogorodichnoye were subjected to shelling by the invaders. The enemy launched an air strike on the settlement of Dmitrovka.

Yuzhnobugskoe direction
The enemy is conducting defensive operations, shelling the areas of the settlements of Mirnoye, Stepnaya Dolina, Aleksandrovka, Tavrichesky, Partizanskoye, Olgino, Kiselevka, Kobzartsi, Belaya Krinitsa, Andreevka, Novovoskresensk, Mironovka, Lyubimovka, Petrovka . The areas of Bereznegovatoy, nameless, large Artakovy, Dry Pond and White Well were subjected to enemy air strikes.
Kherson region
The Russian invaders imposed a ban on the movement of local residents: people were forbidden to cross the Dnieper River either by bridges or by watercraft. In case of violation of the ban, the attackers threatened to shoot to kill.
Kharkov region
As a result of effective fire damage to enemy concentration areas near the settlements of Semenovka and Kupyansk, the invaders suffered losses. In particular, one of the field warehouses containing ammunition, enemy manpower, and military equipment was destroyed. Losses are specified.
The Defense Forces continue to conduct a defensive operation, hold several lines and prevent the enemy from advancing on the territory of Ukraine.
