Zelensky emphasized that from the first minutes of the war with Russia, Ukraine received real help from partners.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke to Poles via video link on the anniversary of the outbreak of World War II and said Ukraine would do everything possible for European citizens to live freely. The address of the head of state was published on his Telegram channel.

“On September 1, 1939, fascist Germany went to war against all free countries, starting with Poland. There will never be a generation of Europeans, Poles, Ukrainians who will forget what Nazism brought and where the Nazi executioners was held accountable,” Zelensky said.

According to him, “people believe that it is possible to avoid the repetition of the crimes of that terrible war.

“But it was again on the same morning, on February 24, 2022. When bombs and rockets hit peaceful cities. Once again, the ideology of hatred is trying to seize space in Europe through massacres and terror. The burned cities and villages were repeated, Katyn was repeated in Olenivka, deportations were repeated,” the president said.

Zelensky emphasized that from the first minutes of the war, Ukraine has received real help from “friends and brothers who have been powerfully behind us and are doing everything to help us achieve Victory.”

“We will do everything so that the Ukrainians, Poles, all the people of Europe can live freely. So that every generation of our people, Europeans, will remember that they brought racism and where the racist executioners will be punished. We will do everything. that the morning of September 1, the morning of June 22, the morning of February 24 will not be repeated. It will not be repeated. We will do everything to completely eliminate the hatred,” the head of state said.

Remember, the Prime Minister of Poland, Mateusz Morawiecki, spoke about the crisis in Europe due to the war in Ukraine.

It is also reported that against the background of the Russian Federation’s massive invasion of Ukraine, Poland has decided to double its military spending for next year.
