Instead of damaged bridges, the Russians are trying to use alternative crossings – stolen barges, pontoons and ferries.
Also, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct control strikes on alternative crossings of the Russian army, destroying barges and pontoons. This is what the spokesperson of the operational command of the South, Natalia Gumenyuk, said on the air of a nationwide telethon.
“Additional control damage has been caused to the transport arteries, especially the bridges, which can be a way to transport ammunition and heavy equipment, making them impassable for this category of goods and vehicle. Unless they can be used to evacuate the occupiers on the left bank,” – he said.
Gumenyuk noted that the Russians are trying to use alternative crossings – stolen barges, pontoons and ferries.
According to him, it is monitored and controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and where possible and appropriate, control strikes are also delivered. In particular, several barges and a pontoon crossing the Ingulet were destroyed.
We remind you that the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed an enemy crossing in the Kherson region. Also, the soldiers of the Ukrainian army hit the unfinished floating bridge, which the invaders were building under the Antonovsky bridge.
Earlier, People’s Deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko said that on August 29, Ukrainian defenders boarded a barge that provided passage for the invaders in connection with the disabling of the Antonovsky bridge near Kherson.
