The President of Ukraine called on the creative community to join the fight for the freedom of Ukrainians.
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the participants and guests of the 79th Venice International Film Festival with a speech about Ukraine and the war waged by Russia for 189 days. On Wednesday, August 31, the President announced in his speech.
“This story is out of competition and out of humanity and common sense. Horror that lasts not 120 minutes, but 189 days. 189 days of the war taking place in Ukraine and of which Europe and the world are supposedly tired. This is What Russia Says. This is what Russia wants. A primitive framework in three actions for the world to make three dramatic mistakes: get used to war, endure war, forget about war,” Zelensky said.
He encouraged cultural figures not to be silent, not to be afraid, not to brush their teeth, not to pass by and not to be indifferent to the war unleashed by Russia.
Also, the guests of the celebration were shown a film called The Kremlin’s List – a list of the names of 358 Ukrainian children killed by Russia in dozens of Ukrainian cities and villages.
“To be tired of Ukraine means to discard these names, forget them. I am sure that the whole civilized world will never do this. It will not give up, it will be with Ukraine until the end, when the truth and justice will be heard .applause,” concluded the President of Ukraine.
Recall that the active conflict in Ukraine with the use of all types of weapons, except weapons of mass destruction, continues along a line of 1,300 kilometers.
