Those who left their homes in the south or east of the country should not plan to return home until spring. On Wednesday, August 31, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Irina Vereshchuk said on the air of the telethon.
“I do not advise. And I urge in every possible way to evacuate before the onset of cold weather. Donetsk region, Kherson, Zaporizhia, parts of Kharkiv. Who can, let’s move slowly as planned. We will survive in the winter and, God willing, we will talk about returning in the spring,” said Vereshchuk.
He also emphasized that the state-level decision on mandatory evacuation was made only for the Donetsk region.
For other areas where shelling does not stop and there is no possibility of restoring the water or gas supply, the land authorities are studying and considering the issue of partial evacuation.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine is preparing measures for the mandatory evacuation of citizens from Kharkiv, Zaporozhye and Mykolaiv regions.
Vereshchuk called on the residents of the temporarily occupied regions in the south of Ukraine, and especially Kherson and Zaporozhye, to evacuate as quickly as possible so that the Armed Forces can liberate these territories without endangering the population of civilian
