Mass terrorism against people in occupied territories has reached a level Europe only saw during World War II from the Nazis, the president insisted.
Active hostilities in Ukraine with the use of all types of weapons, except weapons of mass destruction, continue along a line of 1,300 kilometers. This was announced on Wednesday, August 31, by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in a video speech at the Forum 2000 conference in Prague (Czech Republic), the statement of the presidential press service.
“The front lines on Ukrainian soil are 2.5 thousand kilometers. Active battles using all possible types of weapons, except, fortunately, weapons of mass destruction, continue along a line of 1,300 kilometers. Imagine this scale! It is like a road from Kyiv to Prague “, – he said.
According to him, Russia is throwing weapons and ammunition from the Soviet era to the front, pelting Ukrainian cities with artillery.
“Russia is blackmailing Ukraine, Europe, the world with a radiation catastrophe at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. Think about it! Not a single enemy of humanity has come to such blackmail – a nuclear power has not become a battlefield plant,” Zelensky said.
The President of Ukraine noted that Ukraine now needs continuous sufficient support in arms and ammunition, financial support and sanctions.
“For the radiation blackmail at the Zaporizhzhya NPP, Rosatom and the entire Russian nuclear industry must receive sanctions,” said Zelesky,
He also called for finally completely blocking the Russian banking system, freeing itself from dependence on Russian energy.
The President also mentioned that Ukraine is counting on support for the creation and operation of the Special Tribunal to punish those who unleashed war against Ukraine for the crime of aggression.
It will be recalled that the president called on the inhabitants of Crimea and the south to share information that would help destroy the enemy.
