British intelligence reported that the Ukrainian military managed to shift the front line in places in the south and Russia would certainly try to reinforce these areas. This is stated in the review of the British Ministry of Defense on the war in Ukraine for August 31.
Intelligence notes that since August 29, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have continued to attack the southern grouping of the Russian army in several directions.
Ukrainian forces pushed the front line back in some places, taking advantage of the fact that the Russian line of defense there is relatively thin. According to its doctrines, Moscow will now probably try to “plug the holes” with the help of special mobile reserve groups. Among them, there will probably be some from the eastern grouping of troops, the review writes.
The review also says that Moscow is further looking for options to get reinforcements for its forces thrown against Ukraine. Most likely, the Kremlin will send “volunteer battalions” of the third army corps again against Ukraine, which set off on August 24 from their base near Moscow.
