Iran’s Foreign Minister Hussein Amir-Abdollahian will leave for Moscow on Wednesday, August 31, to negotiate an end to the war in Ukraine, Xinhua wrote in connection with Iranian media.
“The Foreign Minister of Iran said that the main purpose of his visit to Moscow was to help resolve the crisis in Ukraine,” the material said.
According to Abdollahian, the visit was arranged after several Western states asked him to influence the end of the war.
It was noted that in addition to Ukraine, the Foreign Ministers of Iran and Russia will discuss “bilateral cooperation and issues of Afghanistan.”
It will be recalled that the United States has officially confirmed that Iran supplied the UAV to Russia, as previously reported by the media.
