President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that all regions occupied Russiaincluding the Crimean region and territories on the Black and Azov seas.
“Ukraine is returning to itself. And Kharkiv region, Luhansk region, Donetsk region, Zaporozhye region, Kherson region, Crimea and definitely our entire water area of the Black and Sea Seas. Azov, from Snake Island to the Kerch Strait,” the President said in his daily appeal to the population of the country.
Vladimir Zelensky announced his intention to expel the “occupiers” abroad Ukraineand urged the Russian military to flee “if they want to survive”.
“Go home. If you are afraid to return home to RussiaWell, let these invaders surrender, and we will ensure that they comply with all the norms of the Geneva Conventions,” the President told the Russian military, giving them the opportunity to surrender.
These words came just hours after the Armed Forces in southern Ukraine announced a counter-offensive in the Kherson region, on the Black Sea coast, a Ukrainian city under military control since mid-March, after breaking through the first line of defense of Russian troops.
Zelensky invited French companies to take part in the reconstruction of their country, especially in sectors such as construction, energy, infrastructure and food.
“Ukraine is a guarantee of Europe’s food security,” Zelensky said during a video interview at the next summer conference of Medef, the main organization of French employers.
The reconstruction will cost about $750 billion, according to estimates by the Ukrainian government itself at an international conference on the issue held in early July in Lugano, Switzerland.
Ukraine announces awards to foreign “friends”
The President also announced that the awards would be given to “Ukraine’s friends abroad” for their “significant” contribution to the war against Russia.
Zelensky said that “a very important special decree will be issued on awarding state awards to friends of Ukraine abroad, our partners, our assistants in the struggle for freedom and life.”
“Those whose contribution is really significant. Those to whom Ukraine will always be grateful,” explained the Ukrainian president, who will also publish decrees tomorrow on rewarding Ukrainian military and civilians who distinguished themselves in the conflict in the struggle for the country’s independence.
