The Ukrainian government team will visit Brussels to hold the next Council of the Ukraine-EU Association, a visit to Germany is also planned, where macro-financial assistance and an increase in arms supplies will be discussed.
Overall, since the beginning of Russia’s massive invasion, international partners have given Ukraine $17.5 billion, Prime Minister Denys Shmygal announced.
In early September, the Ukrainian government team will visit Brussels to hold the next Council of the Ukraine-EU Association.
Along with the visit to Brussels, a visit to Germany is also planned, where macro-financial assistance and increased arms supplies will be discussed.
“On the eve of this visit, there were good signals from Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz regarding Germany’s readiness to develop air defense and artillery for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Today Germany is among the top 5 countries and institutions in terms of financial support to Ukraine ,” said the Prime Minister.
Shmyhal said: Ukraine also expects that the German leadership will continue to take leadership positions for Ukraine’s rapid provision of the next tranche of macrofinance from the EU in the amount of 9 billion euros. Ukraine has already received 1 billion euros, and 8 billion euros are expected to be disbursed in the coming months.
It was previously reported that Ukraine received record financial aid in August.
