The Pentagon said they could not get through Shoigu

Shoigu and Austin last called on Feb. 18. The Pentagon leader called on Russia’s Defense Minister to withdraw Russian troops from the Ukrainian border.

U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin will not be able to enter Russia’s defense department head Sergei Shoigu. This was announced Wednesday, April 13, by Pentagon spokesman John Kirby.

He noted that Austin tried to contact his Russian counterpart Sergei Shoigu about a week ago, but it was unsuccessful.
