Poland employs approximately 430 thousand Ukrainian refugees

More than 1.3 million Ukrainians have already received a RESEL number in Poland. This allows Ukrainian citizens to enjoy the same rights in the social sphere as Polish citizens.

Employers in Poland reported that approximately 430,000 Ukrainian citizens who arrived in Poland after February 24 are working. This was reported by the publication inpoland.net.

“Regarding employment, now we have 430,000 people working under this new formula, where the employer just informs the county labor service that this person has come to us,” said Stanislav Shved, Deputy Minister for Family, Labor and Social Policy of Poland. .

According to a Polish official, more than 1.3 million Ukrainians have already received a RESEL number in Poland. This allows Ukrainian citizens to enjoy the same rights in the social sphere as Polish citizens.

It has been reported that the requirement to obtain a RESEL number is stipulated by the law on assistance to citizens of Ukraine in connection with Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. This law introduced a special mechanism to legalize the stay of Ukrainians on Polish territory during the war in Ukraine.

It was previously reported that Polish schools are ready to accept up to 300,000 Ukrainian children for education.
