Authorities and civil organizations have reported three massacres carried out in different parts of Colombia since last Friday, in which ten people died, including three community members from a local nature reserve in Nariño, in the southwest of the country.

The second massacre took place on Saturday in the area of New townin Cúcuta, the capital of the department of Norte de Santander and the main border crossing from Venezuela.
According to the Institute for Development and Peace Studies (Indepaz), gunmen entered the area and attacked people near a car repair shop.
Police said the assailants got out of the taxi and opened fire, killing one person on the spot. The other three died in the hospital, their lives could not be saved.
