Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced tonight that he will unveil tomorrow the prizes his country is going to award to “Ukraine’s friends abroad” for their “significant” contribution to the war against Russia.
In his usual late speech, Zelensky said that “a very important special decree will be announced this Sunday on awarding state awards to Ukraine’s friends abroad, our partners, our assistants in the fight for freedom and life.”
“Those whose contribution is really significant. Those to whom Ukraine will always be grateful,” explained the Ukrainian president, who will also publish decrees tomorrow on rewarding Ukrainian military and civilians who distinguished themselves in the conflict in the struggle for the country’s independence.
On the occasion of Aviation Day, the Ukrainian leader in his speech today highly praised the military operations of his Air Force, the combat results of which “became a true legend.”
“Ukrainian aviation is strong. It will be one of the most modern, that’s for sure. This cannot be changed. But even in the extremely difficult conditions that exist now, Ukrainian pilots show the best skills,” he stressed.
Since the beginning of the war, Ukraine has awarded state awards to 27,760 “defenders”, mostly members of the Armed Forces and security and intelligence services.

Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin today announced monthly payment from 10,000 rubles, which is equivalent to more than 166 dollars, up to refugees from the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, whose independence was recognized by the Kremlin in February, and from the rest Ukraine.
This measure will affect those Ukrainians who left their country for Russia on February 18 last year, that is, a week before the start of the Russian “special operation” in Ukrainestated in the presidential decree.
